When considering the Helsinki death-metal circuit, violence, controversy, and short-lived fame all come to mind. From this tragic cultural phenomenon few stars have had the talent and staying power of producer/musician Sky Spooner. From producing such number one acts as Kid Gang Five (KG5) and Margo Lane to writing and performing with such world class music festivals as "Blue Beard" and "Dikko and the Ginza" Sky has always proven his abilities as a top talent in spite of cultural obstacles and defiance. Classically trained in Zurich at the Arthur hand Conservatory from the tender age of 10, it was always his dream to bring his knowledge of music to America and apply his skills to electronica.

At sixteen Sky left home and traveled to Finland to start his quest where he fell in with a shady crowed and became infatuated with speed and death metal. Writing the catchy top-ten hits "Satan loves a whore" and "Americas Favorite Beach Songs" Sky soon became a Helsinki mainstay and wooed the audience with his funky lyrics and rotating hips. As his popularity grew so did his desire to arrive in America and take the San Francisco Electronica scene by storm.

So, in 1991 he arrived with his protégé Kid Gang Five and attended Bard College, a school of acclaimed alliances to classical education and contemporary disregard for normative societal training. Together they have honed their sound and developed there act playing the Underdog Festival in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; the Bard Rediscoveries Festival´s; lesser-known "Post Modern Survey" weekend that precedes the classical music festival of the same name; Under Acme, The Spiral, SFV, and Avenue B Outdoor Gardens "Battle of the Bulge." His background is both crass and collegiate, his music is soothing and repellent, finding inspiration in such superstar DJ´s as "Kid Niven" and Hardkiss.

Now with his new EP on Sunburn and his long time musical partnership with Kid Gang Five, Sky is finally poised to take on his dream and bust out big time to press hit record after hit record.
