The art of drum & bass has been abducted by a group of Irish/American rap producers who make San Francisco´s feisty Latin Mission district their technological headquarters. They are true jungle mavericks, whose infectious breaks, subtle ambiance and bassline ingenuity will navigate the listener into a rhythmic rediscovery of the native West Coast funk agenda. Westside Chemical aka William Kehoe, Tom Moloney and Jamie Lemoine also run a recording studio where they produce local rap acts including Brand X, Smooth Black Poets, and Marginal Prophets.

"Phibsborough" the title track from their debut album, is included on WishFM98.1 sportin´ the barnstorming remix by Mikebee, one of the infamous La Belle Epoque resident DJs. La Belle Epoque is San Francisco´s Saturday night jazz step, ultramod jungle session located at the legendary Lower Haight Street DJ institution, The Top, and still going strong.

Reviews
"Straight out of the bowels of San Francisco´s Mission district, the agents of chaos known only as Westside Chemical are preparing to take control of your mind and your speakers with their unique brand of drum-and-bass. Slightly psychedelic, melodic and definitely influenced by a heavy dose of dub (and that same word spelled backwards), theirs is a totally original vibe in a world full of imitators and bandwagoneers."

XLR8R Magazine

" So behold the new school of the ´Frisco underground, and join me in my laughter, as the skeptics and doubters of old eat their words and like it."
