DJ Wade Randolph Hampton A.K.A. Wish FM throws down his patented west coast drum and space live at "La Belle Epoque" Saturday session, The Top in the infamous Lower Haight district of San Francisco.

WishFM 98.1 is a collection of exclusive recordings from America´s best known drum ´n bass acts. It´s the third in a series of highly respected mixtape CDs from Wish FM. WishFM 98.1 is a wild ride through the uniquely atmospheric jazzy drum ´n bass vibrations emanating from Wade´s Saturday night fiesta located at the San Francisco Lower Haight DJ institution, The Top.

Wade began releasing the WishFM mixtape series in 1992 as bootlegs through underground clubs and stores. There are over 40 installments in the series. In 1996 the debut commercial CD release WishFM 96.1 received critical acclaim from press worldwide. Mixmag described it as "perfectly programmed to take the listener on a blissful sonic voyage" and by Urb Magazine as "a look at what radio would be like in our dreams." As for WishFM 97.1, a drum ´n space and downtempo hybrid, Boston´s Decontrol Magazine put it best: "Wish FM97.1 is like the brilliant sound of Jeff Spicolli´id the fuck back."

Reviews
"Recorded live at La Belle Epoque where it gets packed out and sweaty with worshippers of these sexily lightheaded and languid space grooves ... one of the best examples that San Francisco is about far more than screaming house clubs."
- URB

"Sweet and savoury soul music from this non virtual reality mixing genius."
- Synergy
