sound, the one and only HandieMan Maurice! New to you, Maurice has hella
experience in the realms of beats and bass, being a bass / guitar master first and
producer / remixer second, each coalescing in a swirl of funky psychedelic rhythms
and dark electronic atmospheres. Sunburn is proud to unveil Maurice's US debut,
"Leaf to Enter," a dense rhythmic groove monster built for those who like their experiences extra-sensory.
After launching eleven singles in his homeland (as well as an LP with his funk band, Burning, and even garnering the chance to remix a Bootsy Collins live set!), Maurice (aka Maurits Genesius de Weert) has unleashed an LP full of stoner breakbeats, lysergic drum 'n bass and smooth yet sinister downtempo jams, from the stomping funk of "Brand New Nasty..." to the chilled jazz-scapes of "Brain Trancendation" and the slo-mo bonghit called "Trip to Agewood", which UK music weekly NME named Continental Single of the Week.
nfluenced by Brown (James), Clinton (George), Collins (Bootsy) and Hump (Humpty) to name a few, the HandieMan translates this into an organic feel, featuring live musicians and vocalists in addition to programmed beats and more effects than the new Star Wars movie.
